More about Weddings

My approach to photographing weddings is to capture the spirit of your day through the spontaneous moments and tell the story of your wedding photojournalistically.  I pay particular attention to the subtle gestures, humorous moments and quiet interactions that make your wedding unique.

As you'll see in my portfolio, I'm particularly passionate about capturing "moments" and try to be as unintrusive as possible. For the family and wedding party portrait sessions, I do make some suggestions and aim to make these photos as fun and enjoyable as possible.  I love capturing the connection between people and these group portrait sessions can be as creative and spontaneous as you'd like them to be.

I shoot high resolution raw files and each final image is carefully edited and toned.  You will receive high resolution color and bw files of each final image on a thumb drive as well as unlimited online viewing.  Quality prints and beautiful collage-style coffee table albums are also available.

Please specify geographic location, date, approximate number of hours and any other relevant details to get appropriate pricing info.

More about Engagement Sessions

I strongly believe that engagement portraits should reflect a couple's relationship.  My favorite portraits are those that capture the love and connection between the couple and so, I encourage couples to come prepared to have fun.  The more affectionate, playful and spontaneous you are with one another, the better the photos will be.  If there's a favorite activity or location that is particularly meaningful to you, all the better.  If not, I can always make suggestions.  I have a favorite local Cape Cod beach that offers some exquisite backdrops but I'm open to almost any geographical location within reason on the Cape or elsewhere. Sessions are scheduled for the hour before sunset so that we have beautiful light to work. Before the session, we can discuss clothing suggestions and other details.

You will receive approximately 75 final high resolution color and bw files of each final image on a thumb drive as well as unlimited online viewing. Quality prints are also available.

More about Life Portraits

My "Life Portrait" sessions are not your typical portrait sessions.  I've found that traditional portrait sessions often end up producing stiff or uninteresting images, not to mention melt-downs and general mayhem.

Over the years, I've discovered that the best way to capture children and families is with a completely different approach. Rather than centering the session around being photographed, a "life portrait" session is centered around life itself--a fun outing, trip to the beach on Cape Cod or just hanging out at home. This means lots of family interaction, naturally joyful moments and a realness that most portrait sessions lack.  If tears happen, that's okay too because after all, life is made up of the full range of human emotions. There will be moments in which we do some more traditional family portraits but the emphasis will be on the natural moments that unfold.

A "life portrait" session can be a short one-hour session or extended to an afternoon, day or even a weekend if you're headed to a family reunion, vacation rental or elsewhere and want to capture your family's time together.

You will receive high resolution color and bw files of each final image on a thumb drive as well as unlimited online viewing. Quality prints and beautiful collage-style coffee table albums or art books are also available.
